There will be free guided tours of our Nature Trails at 10am and Noon both days of the sale. This is a great chance to see the beautiful Erythronium (Fawn Lilies) throughout the trails! There will also be free guided tours of our Formal Gardens at 11am and 1pm both days of the sale. A portion of all proceeds benefit Deepwood’s preservation and programs. A family favorite for many in the area is Deepwood’s Easter Egg Hunt! Bring the children and their baskets out for fun with egg hunts according to age group. This event is designed for toddlers through age 10. Due to the overwhelming popularity of the event, pre-registration is required. Say hello to Santa Claus in the Front Parlor, and be greeted by hosts and hostesses dressed in Victorian attire within the home. Plus, there will be holiday wreaths and other items for sale in the Solarium! This event is free to the public. We are hosting our Holiday Open House in lieu of museum home tours this day.

Monday, October 31st, 2pm-5pm Bring your little ones to Deepwood for trick-or-treating at the Front Door of the Museum Home between 2 and 5pm on Monday, October 31st. We will have 200 treat bags designed for children 10 & under. Among other fun items, the treat bags will feature a pumpkin sugar cookie courtesy of Roth’s Fresh Markets! EXTENDED! Deepwood Museum & Gardens has partnered with the Salem Multicultural Institute for a special exhibit, Something’s Brewing: A Global Look at Tea and Coffee Customs! Now through April 30th, visit the World Beat Gallery to enjoy a display of items on loan from both the Deepwood collection and community members of the mid-Willamette Valley, including tea and coffee sets from a variety of cultures, clothing, furniture, and more! The World Beat Gallery is located at 390 Liberty Street SE in the Pringle Park Plaza and is open Tuesdays - Fridays from 11am – 5pm, as well as Saturdays by appointment. Tuesday, March 17th, 2:00 to 4:00 PM Every year the Irish and the Irish-at-heart across the globe observe St. Patrick’s Day. What began as a religious feast for the patron saint of Ireland has become an international festival celebrating Irish culture with parades, dancing, special foods and all things green! Due to popular demand, we’ve brought back the St. Patrick’s Tea and look forward to lifting our tea cups in a toast to the Irish traditions. His images beautifully showcase the life and historic treasures of Salem.
